Agents and routines

Every agent has six tabs: Dashboard, Chat, Activity, Library, Memory and Settings.

Talking to an agent

Type in the box at the bottom of Chat. Return sends; Option-Return starts a new line. You can also:

• Attach a file with the paperclip.
• Share a folder, like Desktop or Downloads, for this chat and later runs. Rules still apply.
• Dictate with the microphone (turn on Dictation in System Settings › Keyboard first).
• Press ⌘K to search all your agents' runs and chats.

Settings

General

Name, colour and personality, its job in your own words, and Cost per message: Cheaper, Normal or Best. More care costs more; a choice your plan doesn't include is shown locked.

Rules

For each kind of action, Always, Ask me or Never. See Getting started.

Connections

The services it can use: Google, Weather, folders, custom connections and Vault items. Anything that sends, shares or deletes still follows its rules.

Its schedule, and what it has spent.

Routines: when it runs

Under When it runs, choose:

• Every day or Weekdays, at a time.
• Particular days of the week, at a time.
• A weekday of the month, such as the first Monday.
• Every so many minutes or hours, optionally only between certain hours.
• Once, on a date and time.

Then say what it does each time. Each routine shows when it runs next and when it last ran. Run now runs it straight away. All your routines are listed under Schedule in the sidebar.

A routine can't stop to ask you. If it needs your OK, it skips that step and tells you afterwards. If your Mac was asleep or off, Home tells you what didn't run, with Run now.

Pausing

Pause agent, at the top of an agent's page, stops its routines until you resume. Nothing is lost.

Activity

Activity lists everything your agents did, newest first, and every run ends with a short summary and what it cost. Search it, filter by agent, or jump to a date.
