Connections and sites
An agent can only use what you give it. You add connections in the agent's settings under Connections; your Google accounts are listed in Settings › Connections.
Google: Gmail and Calendar
Choose Sign in with Google and allow everything on Google's page. Loom keeps the sign-in in your Mac's Keychain.
- Gmail: the agent can read your mail and write drafts. Sending follows your Rules.
- Calendar: choose see only, or see and add events.
Settings › Connections shows which agents use each Google account. To disconnect, remove it there; you can also remove Loom in your Google account's settings.
Weather
Needs no sign-in.
Folders
Give an agent a folder and it can read and save files there, and nowhere else. If you give it a very large folder, like all of Documents, or one shared with other people through iCloud, Loom explains what that means and asks you to confirm. Anything an agent writes to a shared folder reaches the people it's shared with.
Websites and sign-ins
Agents browse in a real browser on your Mac, on your own internet connection. For each site, and for each agent, you choose what it may do:
- Look and read
- Fill in forms
- Submit, book or pay
Each one is Always, Ask me or Never. On sites you haven't added, an agent may look and read, but must ask before typing or submitting. In a routine, where it can't ask, it doesn't.
To let an agent use your account on a site, add the site and choose Sign in. You sign in yourself, in a Loom window; the agent never sees your password, and no other agent uses that sign-in. It stays on this Mac, in its Keychain. Sign out removes it.
"Check you're human": some sites ask. Loom shows a card under Needs you; choose Open the page, pass the check, and the agent carries on.
Custom connections
If a service gives you a connection address (it must start with https://), add it under the agent's Connections. If it needs a key, keep the key in the Vault and choose it there.
The Vault
The Vault (under All agents › Vault) keeps numbers your agents may need, such as a membership, loyalty, policy or account number, in your Mac's Keychain. Every agent can use a number you add, unless you choose particular agents. An agent can also offer to save a number it comes across; you choose Save or Not now. Card numbers can't be kept in the Vault yet, and agents never offer to save passwords.
