Plans and usage
You see dollars, never tokens
Every time an agent uses a model, a small amount comes off your balance. Loom shows it in dollars: how much is left, how much this cycle has used, and what each agent and each run spent.
The plans
| Plan | Price | Usage included |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $5 to start, once; up to about $1 a day |
| Basic | $20 a month | $20 each month |
| Pro | $50 a month | $56 each month |
| Expert | $100 a month | $125 each month |
Each agent has a Cost per message setting (in its Settings › General): Cheaper for sorting, reminders and short replies, Normal for most jobs, and Best for research, planning and long writing. More care costs more; Loom shows what a typical message costs. Free includes Cheaper and Normal; paid plans add Best.
Choosing a plan or topping up
In Loom, open Settings › Account to choose or change a plan, or Manage billing to change your card or cancel. To add usage without a plan, choose Top up… in the usage well at the bottom of the sidebar. Payment happens on a secure Stripe page; we never see your card number.
- Top-ups start at $10 and never expire. A top-up you haven't used can be refunded within 30 days: write to support@loomagent.co.
- Unused plan usage carries over for one extra month.
- Upgrading adds the new plan's usage straight away and starts a new month that day. Nothing you already have is taken away.
- A smaller plan starts when the current month ends.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep what's left, including carried-over usage.

When you're running low
At 80% of the month's usage, the meter turns orange and Loom tells you once. When the balance reaches $0, agents stop and say so. Loom never tops up on its own and never switches to a cheaper model behind your back.
On Free, you can use about $1 a day. When today's free usage is used up, agents carry on tomorrow, or straight away if you choose a plan or top up.
There's also a monthly safety limit on every account, so a mistake can't run up a huge bill. A run stopped by it can't be continued that month. Write to support@loomagent.co if you hit it.
What does a dollar buy?
It depends on the job. Long research with many web pages costs more than a short morning brief, and Best costs more than Cheaper. Making a picture costs about what a message does. Each agent's and each run's spending is shown, so after a few days you'll know what your agents cost.
